The newly-released Revenge of the Savage Planet has already been played by over one million people.
That's according to developer Raccoon Logic, which posted the milestone on Steam just ten days after its initial May 8th release. It is the sequel to Journey to the Savage Planet, which was made by Typhoon Studios. That developer was acquired by Google in 2019 and was part of the great big Google Stadia implosion of 2021.
Racoon Logic was formed by the staff from the now-defunct Typhoon Studios.
"We are super grateful to all the one million players who have taken up revenge against Alta," the Racoon Logic team wrote.
"Thank you for the support. On the team side, we are continuing to make fixes very regularly to ensure that everyone has the best experience possible. We're also working on a roadmap for new features/updates/etc that we want to share with you very soon! In the meantime, keep kicking brainards, racccons, and decking out your habitat STV Cribs Style. The team loves seeing all your creations, gifs, memes, etc. Keep 'em coming."
It's worth noting that Revenge of the Savage Planet is available in Xbox Game Pass and there is no delineation that we can see between copies purchased and those experienced through the subscription service.
