Marvelous makes tweaks to US arm and Xseed Games

Japanese games firm Marvelous is changing how American branch and Xseed Games operate.

The company is announcing a new structure for these divisions; the former is going to be publishing Marvelous' first-party line-up of games such as Story of Seasons and Rune Factory while the latter is going to be focused on third-party titles, such as the upcoming The Big catch and Moonlight Peaks.

Marvelous USA is also going to be helping out with business, operations and marketing for the company's arcade arm.

"Marvelous Inc is taking a more holistic view as it grows its Western footprint, presenting owned IPs through a singular global brand," Marvelous wrote.

"The changes strengthen the organisation as it moves forward with larger, more ambitious scope of development and budgets, the aforementioned Western expansion of its arcade business unit, and upcoming milestone anniversaries for the Story of Seasons and Rune Factory series. The distinction further allows Xseed Games to pursue titles with more freedom as it continues the legacy of discovering and publishing third-party gems from around the world, now with a more focused approach."
