Summer Games Done Quick 2024 raises $2.5m

Speed running charity event Summer Games Done Quick brought in over $2.5 million for charity this year. 

This time around, the organisation raised $2,546,290 for Doctors Without Borders. In total, Games Done Quick has raised $51.7 million for various charities over its 14-year history. 

Notable games played at Summer Games Done Quick 2024 include a dog named Peanut Butter playing Ken Griffey Jr. Presents Major League Baseball, as well as gamers playing Alan Wake 2, Sunset Riders, Halo 3, Old School RuneScape, Elden Ring and Minecraft Dungeons. 

"Thank you to everyone who made this marathon possible, and to all of you for your amazing generosity & support," Games Done Quick wrote on Twitter. 

"See you all next time."

The next Games Done Quick event is called Flame Fatales and will be taking place between August 18th and 25th.
