CHARTS: Steam Deck claims back No.1 spot on Steam in first week of 2024

Valve's Steam Deck is back at the top of the Steam charts.

The hardware has had to settle for second place for the last two weeks as Baldur's Gate 3 stormed to Top Ten to take No.1. Larian's smash hit RPG has fallen to third place, while Valve's Counter-Strike 2 rose up to second week-on-week.

PUBG: Battlegrounds and Lethal Company hang steady in fourth and fifth places respectively, while NetEase's battle royale romp Naraka: Bladepoint returns to the charts at No.6. Call of Duty remains at seventh, charting ahead of Apex Legends, which drops two places to No.8. No doubt the Final Fantasy 7 event will help EA's battle royale hit place higher in the charts next week.

Cyberpunk 2077 drops from eighth to ninth week-on-week, while Electronic Arts' EA Sports FC 24 returns to the Top Ten to round off proceedings.

Here is the Steam Top Ten for the week ending January 9th:

1. Steam Deck, Valve
2. Counter-Strike, Valve
3. Baldur's Gate 3, Larian Studios
4. PUBG: Battlegrounds, Krafton
5. Lethal Company, Zeekerss
6. Naraka: Bladepoint, NetEase
