Bloober Team says Silent Hill 2 development "progressing smoothly"

Polish developer Bloober Team has said that work is "progressing smoothly" on the upcoming remake of cult horror classic Silent Hill 2.

In a post on X, the studio said that it is hard at work to make sure the remake "attains the highest quality. Bloober closes its statement by saying that it is up to publisher Konami to share more information about the project, adding that it is "confident that the wait will be worthwhile.

It's unclear what has prompted Bloober to make such a statement, though it has been some time – over a year – since we had any news about the Silent Hill 2 remake.

“As Bloober Team, we are proud to be a part of Konami‘s plans for the Silent Hill franchise,” the developer wrote.

“Alongside our partner, we are diligently working to ensure the Silent Hill 2 remake attains the highest quality.

“On behalf of our development team, we would like to clarify that the production is progressing smoothly and in accordance with our schedule. We understand that many players around the world are eagerly anticipating news about the game, and we appreciate your dedication.

“However, we kindly ask for a bit more patience. Once Konami, as the game’s publisher, shares more information, we are confident that the wait will be worthwhile. Thank you for your understanding and support.”
