Plaion is restructuring to merge publishing divisions

European games giant Plaion – formerly Koch Media – is merging its various publishing divisions.

That's according to GamesIndustry.biz, which reports that the company is combining its Deep Silver, Prime Matter and Ravenscourt labels and will be publishing games under the Plaion brand at some point in the future.

A rep for the company said that these changes would be taking place over the course of 12 months and that games might be published under Deep Silver, Prime Matter and Ravenscourt "over the next couple of years."

The rep told GI.biz that this was all part of "simplifying" Plaion's publishing business. Moving forward, the company's publishing arm will be built on four pillars – Games Portfolio and Business, Publishing Services, Global Sales and Marketing, and Distribution Partnership.

Around five or six jobs are apparently set to be cut as part of this restructuring.

Koch Media rebranded to Plaion in 2022. The company founded Deep Silver in 2002 and Ravenscourt 13 years later in 2015. Prime Matter was established in 2021
