CHARTS: Steam Deck returns to No.1 spot

A ten per cent discount has seen Valve's Steam Deck console return to the top of the charts.

The hardware rose up two places to the No.1 spot after its first discount since its release back in 2022. Second place also goes to Valve with Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. The online shooter has seen a growing audience in recent weeks, perhaps related to the news that a sequel to the game might be on the way.

Fellow free-to-play titles PUBG: Battlegrounds, Apex Legends and Destiny 2 chart in third, fourth and fifth places respectively, ahead of pre-orders for the eagerly-anticipated remake of Resident Evil 4 in No.6. That title is set to release on March 24th.

MMO Lost Ark from Smilegate and Amazon returns to the Top Ten in seventh from last week's 14th place, while Call of Duty: Modern Warfare hangs steady at No.8. Sons of the Forest drops from fourth to ninth while Stellaris makes an incredible 70 position leap from 80th to tenth to round off the charts.

Here is the Steam Top Ten for the week ending March 21st:

1. Steam Deck, Valve
2. Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Valve
3. PUBG: Battlegrounds, Krafton
4. Apex Legends, EA
5. Destiny 2, Bungie
6. Resident Evil 4, Capcom (P)
7. Lost Ark, Amazon
8. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Activision
9. Sons of the Forest, Endnight Games
10. Stellaris, Paradox
