Destiny and John Wick star Lance Reddick has died

Lance Reddick has passed away aged 60.

The news was broken by TMZ, which reports that law enforcement found the actor dead in his home in Studio City on the morning of Friday, March 17th.

No cause of death has been given yet, though it is said Reddick died of natural causes.

Reddick had a long and illustrious career in TV and film and is best known for his roles as Cedrick Daniels in HBO's The Wire and as Charon in the John Wick franchise. He's also appeared in video games, most notably as Zavala in Bungie's Destiny and Hatch in Quantum Break.

Destiny players have taken to the game to pay tribute to the actor.

"Lance was taken from us far too soon," Reddick's wife, Stephanie, wrote on Twitter.

"Thank you for all your overwhelming love, support and beautiful stories shared on these platforms over the last day. I see your messages and can't begin to express how grateful I am to have them."

Destiny maker Bungie also posted to Twitter: "Lance Reddick was an iconic presence on screen, in Destiny, and most importantly, in person. His love for our community shined through in Commander Zavala, in his uncompromising dedication to his craft and out of the radiating kindness that touched those around him. To say he will be missed is a profound understatement, yet no less true."
