CHARTS: Elden Ring starts off 2023 at No.2 on Steam

FromSoftware's latest RPG romp Elden Ring was once again the second most successful title on Steam last week.

The title charted at No.2 once more having made a return to the rankings in the week before Christmas thanks to its first ever price cut on the platform. Elden Ring was reduced by 30 per cent during the Winter Sale. That was before the title was crowned Game of the Year by Steam users, as well as Best Game You Suck At.

The top spot once again goes to Valve's Steam Deck, while Activision's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 hangs tight in third. Pre-orders for the upcoming Harry Potter spin-off Hogwarts Legacy chart at No.4 ahead of the game's February 10th release, coming in ahead of Cyberpunk 2077 in fifth place.

Rockstar's Red Dead Redemption 2 rises one place week-on-week to No.6, with police shooter Ready or Not slipping three rungs down the ladder to seventh. God of War drops one place to ninth, while Project Zomboid returns to the Top Ten in the No.10 spot.
