Yogscast-published PlateUp! has grossed $1m to date

PlateUp! from Yogscast Games has already grossed over $1 million to date on Steam.

That's according to the label's director of publishing, Simon Byron (pictured), who posted on LinkedIn that the game had reached this milestone just 12 days after its August 4th release. PlateUp! was made by solo developer Alastair Janse van Rensburg - aka It's Happening - who taught himself to code during the COVID-19 pandemic lockdowns.

"It’s been a real thrill watching player count grow and huge interest from Twitch, all whilst hitting Overwhelming Positive on Steam. It seems to be a game which is really resonating.

We’re busy mapping out the next couple of years of updates – suffice to say there will be a lot more content coming your way."

Yogscast Games was founded back in 2017 by the YouTube production company.
