Valve reduces Steam Deck wait times

PC giant Valve has said that it will be fulfilling Steam Deck orders faster than anticipated.

In a blog post on its website, the firm said that "many customers" who were set to receive their hardware in the Q4 or later bracket would now be receiving the console in Q3, so by the end of September.

Everyone else is now "solidly" in the Q4 bracket, meaning they'll be receiving their Steam Deck between October and December.

This is due to supply chain issues easing up somewhat meaning that Valve is able to speed up production.

"We're happy we'll be able to get Steam Decks into your hands faster than we had estimated," Valve wrote.

"It has been great to see all the positive feedback, impressions, and amazing things you all have already been doing with your Steam Decks. We can't wait to see even more in the coming months."

In June, Valve said that it was ramping up production on Steam Deck and would be rolling out twice as many units as it had initially anticipated.
