Fallout 5 will be coming after Elder Scrolls 6

Bethesda has confirmed that Fallout 5 is on the horizon after the launch of The Elder Scrolls 6.

That's according to game director Todd Howard, who told IGN that the company would be working on a new entry in the retrofuture apocalyptic series in the future. The exec also confirmed that Elder Scrolls 6 is still in the early stages of development.

"Yes, Elder Scrolls 6 is in pre-production," Howard said.

"And, you know, we’re going to be doing Fallout 5 after that, so our slate’s pretty full going forward for a while. We have some other projects that we look at from time to time as well."

The Elder Scrolls 6 was revealed back at E3 2018 with a teaser trailer. Nothing has been heard about the game since, but at the time Howard said that Elder Scrolls 6 was in the pre-production stage.

A Fallout TV show is on the way, in collaboration with Amazon, while there are reports that The Elder Scrolls could also be coming to TV.

Bethesda is currently working on Starfield, which is set to launch in 2023.
