Report: God of War TV show set for Amazon Prime

PlayStation's God of War is apparently coming to TV screens in the near future.

As reported by Deadline, the franchise is reportedly being turned into a television show for Amazon's Prime Video service. This adaptation is apparently being handled by the creators and executive producers of The Expanse, Mark Fergus and Hawk Ostby, as well as Rafe Judkins who is exec producer and showrunner of The Wheel of Time.

This is the latest video game IP to come to either TV or television screens. A Fallout show is currently in the works, also for Amazon TV, while HBO is creating an adaptation of The Last of Us, to name just a few.

God of War was a PlayStation exclusive between its inception in 2005 and earlier this year, when the 2018 entry made the leap to PC. This was the biggest launch on Steam for a PlayStation game to date.
