Lost Ark surpasses 505k concurrent players on Steam

New MMO title Lost Ark has launched in the West and has attracted a lot of players already.

The game already boasts a record of 505,675 concurrent users on Steam, per SteamCharts, ahead of its official free-to-play release on February 11th. The reason that the game has already brought in so many players is that if consumers purchase the Founders Pack for Smilegate's MMO, they are giving access three days prior to release.

At the time of writing, Lost Ark boasts the fifth-highest concurrent players on Steam with 225,812 users, coming in behind Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Dota 2, PUBG: Battlegrounds and Apex Legends.

Safe to say that when the free-to-play edition debuts in a few days, it is likely to attract a lot of users on Steam.

Back in 2020, Smilegate signed a publishing agreement with Amazon Game Studios for an undisclosed title. At the time, there was speculation that this was in fact for its MMO Lost Ark, speculation that turned out to be correct.

This comes in the wake of Amazon launching its own new MMO IP in New World. That title boasted 734k concurrent players on launch
