Sweden's Zordix Group has acquired Maximum Games.
The firm has been bought for $42 million in cash and shares, with another $30 million on the table depending on whether the company hits certain benchmarks. Maximum Games founder and CEO Christina Seelye (pictured) is going to be chief operating officer for the group.
"We are extremely honored to join Zordix and continue the evolution of both companies hand-in-hand," she said.
"This move enables us to invest in more wholly owned IP, development studios, and the fostering of what we love most – awesome games."
Zordix founded and CEO Matti Larsson added: "With Maximum Games on board, we are now equipped with an incredible infrastructure that has a history of proven success in all aspects of game publishing," said . "The experience Maximum Games brings to the table enables us to scale tremendously, which of course means more exciting games on the horizon."
