Blizzard's next project looks to be an FPS multiplayer title

US publisher Blizzard is staffing up for a new triple-A multiplayer game.

As spotted by GamesRadar, senior artist Dan John Cox posted on Twitter (below) that the firm was hiring a lot of people for "a really really cool unannounced project" that's going to be on both PC and console.

One of these ads – a senior systems designer – requires that candidates have: "Extensive experience with games, including action, FPS, and online titles," something echoed by the ad for a mid-level or associate combat designer. This says that applicants should have: "Broad, extensive player experience with FPS and action games, both single-player and online," which might paint a picture of what kind of an experience Blizzard is going for.

Another ad, for a level designer position, says that applicants "will create epic, memorable worlds."

Outside of that, we don't really have much of an idea of what Blizzard is working on. Recently, the company's SVP Allen Adham said that it had a number of teams working on new projects and game types, having joked that Blizzard was out of older titles to remaster.

Blizzard announced Diablo 2 Resurrected – a remaster of the 2000 dungeon crawler – at BlizzConline in February.
