CHARTS: Among Us outsells Star Wars: Squadrons

Multiplayer title Among Us has once again held the top spot on Steam, selling more copies than the eagerly-anticipated Star Wars: Squadrons.

This is the third week in a row that Innersloth's surprise hit has been the best-selling game on Valve's platform. Star Wars: Squadrons from EA appears in the charts twice; the Pre-Order edition clocked in at second place, while a regular SKU was the fifth highest-selling item of the week.

Horror co-op title Phasmophobia from Kinetic Games debuted in third place, ahead of Valve Index VR. Fall Guys, um, falls three places to No.6, while Red Dead Redemption 2 came in seventh. This is thanks to Rockstar's cowboy romp being 33 per cent off. Mafia: Definitive Edition dropped three places to No.8.

Roguelike sequel Spelunky 2 debuted in ninth place ahead of fellow indie giant Supergiant's Hades.

Here is the Steam Top Ten for the week ending October 3rd:

1. Among Us, Innersloth
2. Star Wars: Squadrons– Pre-order Edition, EA
3. Phasmophobia, Kinetic Games
4. Valve Index VR Kit, Valve
5. Star Wars: Squadrons, EA
6. Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout, Devolver Digital
7. Red Dead Redemption 2, Rockstar
8. Mafia: Definitive Edition, 2K Games
9. Spelunky 2, Mossmouth
10. Hades, Supergiant
