Fall Guys raises $1m for charity Special Effect

Fall Guys developer Mediatonic has raised $1m for video games industry charity Special Effect.

The studio said two weeks ago that games brands and influencers could take part in a bidding war for charity in order to have a brand new skin in the popular title. The winning donation is split between mega-popular streamer Ninja, as well as G2 Esports, YouTuber Mr Beast and Aim Lab.

On Twitter (below), the developer said that this money would have an "incredible impact" on the industry charity.

Mediatonic is now working away at four brand new costumes for Fall Guys. Previously, YouTuber FGTeeV held the winning bid with a $510k donation, before Ninja and co. racked up the top bid.
