Trump supporters hack Roblox accounts

Hackers supporting Donald Trump have seemingly hacked Roblox accounts in order to try and build support for the president's re-election campaign.

As reported by The BBC, users complained that their profiles had been changed to feature messages such as “Ask your parents to vote for Trump this year!” and “MAGA2020." They've also been dressed up in outfits that bear a resemblance to those worn by real-life Trump supporters, such as the now-iconic Make America Great Again red caps.

These bad actors also apparently sent messages to friends of the hacked accounts urging them to support Trump.

At the time of writing, close-to 1,400 Roblox profiles featured the phrase: "Ask your parents to vote for Trump this year!"

Roblox has more than 115m monthly active users and was valued at $4bn earlier in 2020.

PCGamesInsider.biz has reached out to Roblox for comment.
