Steel Media to hold Pocket Gamer Connects Digital online conference

PCGamesInsider.biz's owner Steel Media is holding the Pocket Gamer Connects Digital online conference next month.

The event is set to take place between Monday, April 6th and Friday, April 10th and provides a new virtual conference in the midst of the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic. This has seen numerous events, including GDC, MWC and E3 be cancelled due to concerns about the viral outbreak.

The show will feature a new digital meeting system, as well as online versions of the Big Indie Pitch, Publisher SpeedMatch and Investor Connect. Speakers including Super Evil Megacorp's Taewon Yun, King's Sabrina Carmona and Harri Manninen from Play Ventures are already slated to speak.

There will be talks from over 60 members of the games industry across tracks that will cover monetisation and growth, global game trends and company culture, development tools and stories and strategies to thrive in the modern gaming market be it mobile, PC, console or XR.

Tickets can be bought here.

“It could be the first of many, it could be the one and only, to be honest, we don't know yet,” said CEO Chris James.

“This is very much an attempt to do something to help the industry and to continue our ongoing mission to connect people. What we do know is that we're going to work incredibly hard to bring as much of the content and spirit as we can from the traditional PG Connects events you have come to know and love over the last seven years.”
