Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Remastered looks set for a 2020 release

A Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 remastered could be on the way.

According to Call of Duty leaker Okami – via Twitter – Activision will launch the remaster this year with multiplayer.

As reported by Gematsu in February 2019, the Pan European Game Information (PEGI) board rated the Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 remastered campaign.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare remastered was released in 2016, and it came in the special editions of Call of Duty Infinite Warfare. However, in 2017, the game was released as a standalone title. It featured both single and multiplayer modes.

In March, the new battle royale mode dubbed Warzone is coming to the latest Call of Duty title, Modern Warfare. However, Black Ops 4 – 2018 – was the first game in the series to feature the popular mode.

Modern Warfare has become the most played multiplayer Call of Duty title for six years. Furthermore, five million digital copies were sold in its launch month of October 2019. The game is said to have received the biggest PC launch for the series.

The movie based on the franchise has been put on hold. It will not move forward until all parties agree on a direction to go in.
