Steam is having a sale for China's Single's Day

Valve's Steam storefront is having a sale to mark China's Single's Day.

The price promotion event is live now, with a variety of titles having discounted including Curve's Human Fall Flat, Overcooked 2 and Divinity Original Sin 2.

Valve's sale started on November 10th at 8am PST and continues until the same time on November 12th.

This likely is due to the popularity of Valve's platform in China, with roughly a fifth of total users on Steam apparently being from the region. An official version of Steam set to launch in partnership with local firm Perfect World

Wondering what Single's Day is? It's essentially the Chinese equivalent of Black Friday, known in its native land as 'Guanggun Jie'. It started in 1993 primarily as a way of single people to meet, but has also become a huge shopping event.

In 2018, Single's Day brought in a whopping $31bn in sales for the period via companies owned by Alibaba alone, itself a 27 per cent increase year-on-year.
