The End is Nigh sees a sales increase of 1,000% after Steam Workshop rollout

Sales of indie platformer The End is Nigh have shot up by 1,000 per cent in the wake of the addition of Steam Workshop integration.

As revealed on Twitter (below) by one of the two developers behind the title - Tyler Glail, known for Bombernaughts - sales increased massively after adding Steam Workshop support.

Alongside Glail, fellow publisher and developer Edmund McMillen (pictured) worked on The End is Nigh. We caught up with McMillien to discuss what made The Binding of Isaac a success.

Glail has recommended enabling the workshop feature, especially if your game has a dedicated following and mod makers.

“The End is Nigh's *full-price* sales are up by around 1,000% after adding Steam Workshop to it, even after the daily deal ran out,” said Glail.

“If people are making mods for your game, I highly recommend putting workshop in.”

The End is Nigh is currently on sale for 40 per cent off, it’s part of Steam’s Halloween sale.
