Nvidia GeForce 1060 is still most popular graphics card on Steam

Almost 14 per cent of participants in Steam's September 2018 hardware surveyuse Nvidia's FeForce GTX 1060.

13.81 per cent of participants use this GPU, a rise of 0.5 per cent month-on-month. Second place goes to the equivalently-powered 1050TI, which accounts for 9.37 per cent, with third place - the 1050 - claiming a 4.96 per cent slice of the pie.

Unsurprisingly, Nvidia still claims the lion's share of the GPU market, with 75.02 per cent of Steam users employing this firm's card between April and September 2018. 14.6 per cent goes to AMD.

AMD also plays second fiddle in the CPU space, too. Intel claims 83.48 per cent market share, with AMD taking home 16.52 per cent.

As pointed out by PCGamesN, barely six per cent of Steam users play games above 1080p which is important to note at a time when firms like Nvidia are launching increasingly powerful graphics cards.
