Sales bring Frostpunk and Dying Light back to the Steam Top Ten

Solid discounts on Steam have brought Frostpunk and Dying Light back to the Top Ten this week.

Dying Light’s battle-royale follow-up, Bad Blood, arrives next month. In the run-up, the Enhanced Edition of 2015’s Dying Light has returned to the charts at No.7, sporting a 60 per cent discount.

Meanwhile, a 25 per cent shaving to frozen city-builder Frostpunk’s retail price brings it back to the Steam Top Ten, closing out the list at No. 9. Frostpunk was last seen in the charts back in May.

It’s not all surprise reunions in this week’s chart, however. Monster Hunter: World continues its domination of the Top Ten, securing the No.1 spot for the third consecutive week since launch.

At last count, the game may have sold over two million copies on PC.

Fifth place this week goes to Codemasters’ latest high-speed, highly-technical racing sim F1 2018. The franchise holds its own dedicated sphere of car nuts and tinkerers outside the gaming crowd, pushing the latest iteration up into the Top Ten.

Finally, Graveyard Keeper appears to have lost a few skeletons. TinyBuild’s darkly comic take on Stardew Valley falls three spaces down to take No. 6 this week.

Below is the Steam Top Ten for the week ending August 25th

  1. Monster Hunter: World, Capcom
  2. Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds, PUBG Corp
  3. Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six: Siege, Ubisoft
  4. Grand Theft Auto V, Rockstar
  5. F1 2018, Codemasters
  6. Graveyard Keeper, TinyBuild
  7. Dying Light: Enhanced Edition, Techland
  8. Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Valve
  9. Frostpunk, 11bit
  10. MISSING
