About the Role

SVG is hiring freelance gaming news writers with deep familiarity with the Grand Theft Auto franchise to join our team ahead of the release of GTA VI. We’re looking for writers who actively play GTA, follow the franchise and its community, and are excited to cover GTA VI before, during, and well beyond launch, with potential opportunities to contribute beyond the GTA beat as our coverage evolves.

Writers will select assignments from a shared pool and produce timely, engaging gaming content in a fast-paced publishing environment. This is a fully remote, hourly freelance role with a flexible but consistent weekly schedule.

Key details:

• Pay: $15/hour
• Experience: At least 1 year of professional or editorial writing experience;
• GTA knowledge: Extensive firsthand familiarity with Grand Theft Auto games and the GTA community is required;
• Gaming coverage: Experience writing about gaming news, trends, releases, or related topics;
• Preferred, but not required: Experience recording gameplay footage, creating gaming/YouTube videos, appearing on camera, and/or adapting written content for video;
• Hiring process: Selected candidates will complete a paid, live writing trial; completed trials are paid at a flat rate of $60;
• Remote: Work from anywhere with a stable internet connection
