Tag and Firestoke's Cliff joins Sumo as biz dev boss

UK games firm Sumo Group has hired Nina Cliff as director of business development.

Cliff has previously worked at Firestoke and Tag Games, also heading up business development, as well as spending five years between 2010 and 2015 running her own biz dev consultancy. Sumo says she will be responsible for partner outreach.

"Sumo is a company that has always been close to my heart and it is fantastic to be joining at such an exciting time,” said Cliff.

“It’s a real landmark moment for me to become part of the team and to work alongside so many friends. I’m looking forward to making an impact and contributing to the ever-growing pipeline of projects throughout 2022 and beyond.”

Sumo commercial director Dean Trotman added: “As Sumo continues to expand its world-class development capabilities, we must strive to maintain an equally impressive level of guidance and support. Further strengthening our focus to ensure Group studios achieve their project goals and ambition, we’re delighted to welcome Nina on board."
