Rockstar North is hiring for staff to work on a new open-world title for the upcoming next-generation consoles.
As revealed in a job listing, the Edinburgh based developer is after an animation systems programmer.
“We are looking for an experienced, talented engineer to help us in developing advanced animation systems for large open-world character-based games,” the Grand Theft Auto V maker wrote in the job ad.
The successful candidate needs to “develop, maintain, extend, and support an extensive high-level runtime animation system, pipeline, and tools.” They must also “Implement well designed, robust, highly optimal new animation system features, integrating them into our existing animation, gameplay, and AI systems.”
The Grand Theft Auto and Red Dead Redemption developer has described itself as: “A global team of programmers and researchers who collaborate on pushing the boundaries of character animation on next-generation hardware.”
Recently, the company launched Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC. However, users of Rockstar’s game launcher reported issues such as not being able to access the open-world western. These problems have since been fixed in a games launcher update.
Rockstar launched its games launcher in September 2019.
