Stellaris director Martin Anward is working on a secret new project after leaving the space sim team.
Anward confirmed through Twitter that the latest expansion for the spacefaring strategy title, Megacorp, would also be his last. He isn’t leaving Paradox entirely, however, and is taking up the director’s seat once more on a new unannounced project.
This move has been planned since a long time back, and I am still very much staying at Paradox Development Studio as a Game Director, I am just moving over to another, secret project.

Despite Anward’s departure from the Stellaris team, there’s no sign of a slowdown for Paradox’s interstellar civilisation-builder. Future content for the title will be overseen by game designer Daniel Moregård, who has been on the project for three years.
Whatever Anward is currently working on, there's a chance the game could be revealed at next year’s PDXCon.
The 2019 Paradox fan festival is breaking out of Sweden for the first time, instead bringing strategy fans to Berlin.
