Dr Emily Short promoted to SpiritAI board

Game designer Dr Emily Short has joined the board of directors over at AI specialist Spirit.

The developer has been working at the firm for two years now as the product manager on its Character Engine and was recently promoted to executive director.

Short is credited on the likes of Fallen London, Sunless Seas and Where the Water Tastes Like Wine.

“Emily has shown great leadership in her work with the Character Engine team, and in articulating our goals and vision to the industry,” CEO Steve Andre said.

“She will be a strong addition to our leadership team as we continue to define and build new AI natural language solutions that breathe life into digital characters.”
