Description
Gimo Games was officially founded on March 30, 2010 by Chris Kesler and Trent Burke. Prior to starting the company, Chris and Trent worked together in BYU’s humanities department where they created the iPhone game WordTap. The game was released in Omniture’s BYU iPhone app competition, and it received 5th place overall. After some success with a very simple game, the idea for a game on a much larger scale was hatched and Gimo Games was established to bring that idea to fruition.
Soon after, Jake Stokes was recruited to help with the programming. Nick Jensen was brought on board as a game advisor, and then Evan Munro was recruited to create artwork in early 2011. Kyle Rollins was added later that summer as a story writer.
