Epic Games has acquired game data and security company Kamu (pictured, below) for an undisclosed sum.
The Helsinki-based studio provides tools for supporting player satisfaction, community building, and game integrity in live service games.
It’s most notable product, Easy Anti-Cheat, is used by over 80 games - including Epic’s battle royale hit Fortnite.
“Joining the Epic family is not only a childhood dream come true but a huge boost for our mission to help developers create beautiful gaming experiences,” said Simon Allaeys, CEO of Kamu, in a statement.
“Battling cheating in games was just the start; today our products also help developers stay competitive by identifying player needs as quickly as they emerge.”
