Games giant Rockstar claims that the staff it fired for gross misconduct were let go for leaking company secrets.
Bloomberg reports that the company is refuting allegations made by the Independent Workers of Great Britain (IWGB) union, which has said that the employees were terminated as they were attempting to unionise.
Rockstar claims that it was in fact for sharing company secrets in a forum that included people who did not work at the firm.
“Last week, we took action against a small number of individuals who were found to be distributing and discussing confidential information in a public forum, a violation of our company policies,” a Rockstar rep said.
“This was in no way related to people’s right to join a union or engage in union activities.”
