Rematch hits 5m players

Football title Rematch has been played by over five million people so far.

That's according to developer Sloclap, which took to Twitter to reveal that the game had reached this milestone one month after the game's release. In a dev update on its site, the studio wrote on July 18th that 60 million hours of Rematch had been played thus far.

Once again, we have to note that this does not represent five million sales but rather that five million people have played the game. This is due to the fact that Rematch is in Xbox Game Pass.

"One month after launch, Rematch has reached five million unique players," Sloclap wrote.

"We’ll keep doing our best to make Rematch better. Thank you again for your support all along the way!"

In that blog post, the studio continued: "There has already been over 60 million hours played in the game, a dynamic competitive scene is emerging, with teams created, tournaments organized, mechanics dissected, strategies discussed… We are very grateful to all players who have played the game so far, and the love you’re showing for the game makes us really happy. We love Rematch too, we play it during our evenings and our weekends, and we’re going to keep making the game better and better."
