Pneuma founds new studio Cast Iron Games

Pneuma Games Group has founded a brand new studio called Cast Iron Games.

The venture is set up in Tileyard North in Wakefield and will be focusing on triple-A co-development and games porting. Industry vets Arden Aspinall and Jon Seymour are at the helm of Cast Iron as CEO and COO respectively; together they have worked at the likes of TickTock (not that one), Rebellion and Double Eleven.

Cast Iron is a sister company to Double Eleven.

“I wanted the company to reflect the name, a company that’s Cast Iron in its reliability and the quality of results it delivers for clients," Aspinall said.

"I’ve always been inspired by the way that Lee and his leadership team have grown Double Eleven – a company based on sound principles which we share. We have a strong synergy with the Double Eleven vision, and we will seek to align our pathways wherever possible. These values now underpin the way we operate as a team in Cast Iron. A safe pair of hands forging partnerships that are built to last.”

Seymour added: “Creating an exceptional environment for our team was really important to us. We’re surrounded by talented people who are all aligned, and it’s such a motivating force and gives us the freedom to really focus on what we do best which is bringing our client’s bold and creative visions to life”.
