Tequila Works selling off games and IP after going bust

Spanish developer Tequila Works is auctioning off its games and IP.

As spotted by VGC, the studio is selling off the rights to its intellectual properties and other projects on the auction site Escrapalia. Up for sale are the publishing rights for Deadlight, Rime, Gylt and The Invisilbe Hours, as well as projects that are currently in development. These include Brawler Crawler, Dungeon Tour, The Ancient Mariner, as well as other ideas that it has been working on.

Finally, there's the corporate identity assets for the Tequila Works brand.

At the time of writing, the most popular items on the docket are the trademark and IP for Rime and Gylt, respectively.

Tequila Works filed for insolvency in November 2024 having made layoffs the previous month.

"Since its founding in 2009, Tequila Works' game-development philosophy has always focused on 'creating things with gusto'," general manager Térence Mosca  wrote at the time.

"We are doing everything we can to provide support and guidance to our teams during this difficult time."
