Monster Hunter Wilds hits 10m sales

The recently released Monster Hunter Wilds has sold over ten million copies to date.

That's according to publisher Capcom, which revealed the news to investors, saying that this is the fastest any of its games have sold in their first month ever to date.

Monster Hunter Wilds launched on February 28th and shifted eight million copies in its first three days alone; shifting the vast majority of your sales so early points to there being some real hype behind the title. Even ten years ago, it would have seemed laughable that Capcom's Monster Hunter series would be on the receiving end of such excitement which shows just how far it has come.

"The fusion of numerous new elements with Monster Hunter’s appeal has generated significant excitement, all of which led to the company first-month sales record of over 10 million units sold," Capcom wrote.

Monster Hunter Wilds has done pretty well on PC; the week before its release, pre-orders were the second-highest grossing item on Steam. Upon its release, the RPG shot straight to No.1, too
