Cyberpunk 2077 hits 30m sales

Ambitious sci-fi RPG Cyberpunk 2077 has shifted over 30 million copies to date.

That's according to CD Projekt's chief financial officer Piotr Nielubowicz – reported by VGC – who announced the sales milestone alongside the company's financial results for the three months ending September.

Meanwhile, the Phantom Liberty expansion has shifted over eight million units to date.

Finally, Cyberpunk 2077 is coming to Mac devices in the near future while another animation project set within the Cyberpunk world is on the way.

“I also have some good news straight from Night City,” Nielubowicz said.

“Sales of Cyberpunk 2077 have topped 30 million copies, while the Phantom Liberty expansion has sold eight million units.

“These are impressive figure – they reveal the true size of the fan community and the scale of interest in the Cyberpunk universe.

“Both are very important to us, since we recently announced that next year the game, along with its expansion, would be coming to Mac devices powered by Apple Silicon chips.

“I’m also very happy to announce that we’re working on another animation project set in the Cyberpunk universe, which will be released on Netflix.”
