Merge Games axes Chelford office

Publisher Merge Games is closing down its office in Chelford in the UK.

As reported by GI.biz, there's no indication as to how many staff are impacted by these changes at the company. Merge's portfolio is being integrated into parent company Maximum Entertainment as part of these changes.

"Within the context of previously announced reductions, we made the difficult but necessary decision to take further cost-cutting measures, and these unfortunately include staff redundancies," CEO Christina Seelye (pictured) said.

"As a recently integrated company with a full and competitive roadmap ahead of us, we must finish the year and enter 2025 stronger and leaner to continue our best work."

Back in 2023, Zordix reshuffled its games business and rebranded it as Maximum Entertainment
