Black Myth: Wukong hits 1.4m concurrent players

The recently-released Black Myth: Wukong has already hit 1.4 million concurrent players on Steam. 

That's according to data from SteamDB, which shows that the action RPG has reached 1,443,570 users at once at its peak. At the time of writing, Black Myth: Wukong has 1,405,420 concurrent players. 

The game launched today, August 20th, and at the time of release has out for about seven and a half hours. At the time of writing, Black Myth boasts the highest concurrent user figure of any game on Steam. 

It is also the fourth highest peak player figure for a game on Steam ever, coming in behind PUBG: Battlegrounds, Palworld and Counter-Strike, per SteamCharts data

Before launch, Black Myth: Wukong was the game with the highest number of wishlists on Steam; now it is out, the to spot goes back to Hollow Knight: Silksong which *huffs copium* is definitely coming out soon. 

Pre-orders for Black Myth: Wukong were the biggest seller on Steam last week.
