Techland moving to on-site or hybrid working

Dying Light maker Techland is changing its working set up to be primarily on-site or hybrid.

That's according to Polish outlet CD Action, which reports that the developer was no longer allowing staff to work from home. Workers abroad are also reportedly being told to come in eight days out of every two months. Managers were apparently given less than 24 hours notice of the change.

In a statement to GI.biz, a rep for the studio said that this change was being made in the name of collaboration.

"While remote work remains an option, we're transitioning most roles to either an on-site or hybrid model," they said.

"Employees who live near our offices will be asked to work from the office three days a week. For those working remotely from abroad, we're asking them to come to the office regularly to foster stronger connections."

Techland continued: "We understand this is a big change and all employees can still request home office days on demand as needed. We've just started this process and it's our goal to make the transition as smooth as possible and to support everyone individually."
