PTW cuts 45 jobs

Staff at services outfit PTW (Pole to Win) are the latest to be impacted by layoffs in the games industry.

Kotaku reports that the company is laying off around 45 members of staff. Most of those impacted are quality assurance workers who are outside of the United States, but other parts of the firm are reportedly affected, too.

"PTW made the difficult decision to reduce our workforce in several countries where we operate," the company confirmed in a statement. "This decision was not made lightly – our company's core offerings stem from the people who enable us to deliver world-class products and services.

"We want to thank our departing team members for the time and effort they put into the company."

PTW joins the long list of companies to make layoffs in 2024 to date, including Unity, Twitch and Discord.
