Fire at Stalker 2 dev GSC Game World's offices

The developer of Stalker 2, GSC Game World, has had a fire at in their offices.

That's according to Czech publication Vortexspotted by @HazzadorGamin on Twitter – which reports that on Thursday, September 7th there was a fire that "destroyed" one of three floors at the studio's office in Prague. The cause of this was apparently an electrical installation. Repairing the damage reportedly will come to around Kč1.5 million (~$70,000).

On Discord – as reported by VGC – one developer confirmed that the fire had taken place, adding that: "Fortunately, none of the employees or office staff were injured in the accident.”

In a statement to Vortex, GSC Game World's biz dev manager Olga Ryžko said, via Google Translate: "Although the fire was extinguished, one of the floors of the office now requires complete reconstruction. Further details of the accident are still being investigated."

GSC Game World relocated out of its native Ukraine following Russia's invasion of the country and is now based in Prague. Since moving, the developer has claimed to be the victim of a Russian hack.
