Over 28k people attended GDC 2023

Over 28,000 people showed up to the Game Developers Conference 2023.

In a post on the event's website, organiser Informa said that this was more than double the number of attendees at the 2022 event.

GDC 2023 featured over 1,000 speakers, as well as more than 700 sessions, workshops and roundtables. That's on top of over 300 companies exhibiting at the show.

“This week’s conference was focused on the in-person experience, and the incredible attendance numbers show game developers’ strong desire to connect and learn together," Informa Tech's director of event production for media and entertainment Stephenie Hawkins said.

"We’re so happy to see our friends and colleagues again in an environment that fosters these insights and relationships. The focus of this year’s conference was community, jobs and accessibility, and on each of those fronts, we’ve proudly introduced new ways for attendees to find their respective tribes, join the fun through any level of physical capabilities, and create a path towards great interactive experiences."
