CHARTS: Sons of the Forest debuts at No.1 on Steam

Early Access title Sons of the Forest has started life at the No.1 spot on Steam.

The sequel to 2014's The Forest launched on February 23rd and has players trying to survive on a cannibal-infested island. Second place in the newly-changed Steam charts – which now count the revenue made by free-to-play titles and come out on a Tuesday rather than a Sunday – is Valve's own Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, while fellow free-to-play romp Apex Legends comes in third.

Hogwarts Legacy drops two places to No.4, ahead of Destiny 2, which returns to the Top Ten as the new Lightfall expansion is set to release. Mundfish's Atomic Heart debuts in sixth place, one position ahead of the newly-released Kerbal Space Program 2.

Battle royale hit PUBG: Battlegrounds charts in eighth, while Valve's Steam Deck drops three places to No.9. Company of Heroes 3 makes its debut in the Top Ten at the No.10 spot.
