Death Stranding has been played by over 10m people

Death Stranding has attracted over ten million players to date.

That's according to developer Kojima Productions, which revealed the milestone on the third anniversary of the game. That's across its original PlayStation 4 release back in 2019, PC – where the title launched the following year – and the Directors Cut, which made its debut in September 2021.

Death Stranding recently also came to Microsoft's Xbox Game Pass for PC.

"It makes me happy to think that there are over 10 million “Sam one”(players) around the world, all loosely connected," industry vet Hideo Kojima wrote on Twitter.

The developer's official account added: "We would like to thank everyone for celebrating with us! We appreciate all of your support and hope you continue to enjoy Death Stranding."
