PC giant Valve has changed its Steam charts pages.

In a post on its website, the company revealed the new Steam Charts page, not to be confused with www.steamcharts.com, which features a wealth of information about games on the platform.

This new comes with a new overview page, which shows which games are selling well, which have the most engagement and how many people are on Steam at any time. There are also weekly and monthly charts.

That's on top of an updated Top Sellers page, which shows what games are being bought the most in real time. This has long been a feature on Steam, but this version comes with a number of improvements, including indications of how many weeks a game has been in the chart, weekly changes and a ranking based on the total revenue it has brought in.

"This new section replaces the old 'stats' page on Steam and provides a better overview for what is hot on Steam right now," Valve wrote.

"The new top-selling lists rank games based on total revenue, including all sources such as DLC and in-game transactions so we can all get a more complete picture of which games players are excited about getting into and continuing to play. This new method of calculating revenue is also being deployed across various top lists throughout the Steam store, including the Top Sellers tab on Steam's homepage, genre and tag pages."
