Respawn says harassment of dev team will not be tolerated

Apex Legends maker Respawn Entertainment has said that the harassment its development team has received will not be accepted.

In a post on Twitter, the studio said that its staff had been the subject of "increased harassment" in recent weeks. While Respawn says it wants community input into its game, it will not accept this crossing into harassment.

"We want to remind our players that we have a zero tolerance policy for threats and the harassment of our developers," the studio wrote.

"We will take appropriate action to ensure the health and safety of our team.

"We love hearing feedback and will continue to work alongside our community to foster a respectful, collaborate environment, and uphold the competitive integrity of our game."

Respawn is the latest developer to remind its audience that this kind of behaviour will not be tolerated. Destiny studio Bungie recently said it has reduced communications with its players over harassment, while also saying that tackling this behaviour is "good business".
