Bethesda shows off first Starfield gameplay

Microsoft-owned Bethesda Game Studios has shown the first slice of gameplay for the eagerly-anticipated Starfield.

The footage was revealed at the Xbox and Bethesda Game Showcase 2022, and demonstrated some of the mechanics that the title will include. Among these is exploration, scanning the environment to learn more and gathering resources. Oh, and shooting stuff – in this case space pirates. The footage also showed some of the game's city hubs, such as New Atlantis, where they can join organisations like the space exploration-focused Constellation.

All in all, it's kinda just Morrowind in space.

Starfield was set to launch in 2022 but was delayed until 2023 earlier this year.
