Ukrainian games publisher Room 8 has bought developer Massive Black.
As reported by GamesIndustry.biz, acquiring the Seattle-based art-based outfit will see Room 8 expand into the US market. No figure has been placed on the deal.
"Massive Black joining the Room 8 Group portfolio is another step forward in our ongoing global expansion, including new offices, teams, and service offerings," the chair of Room 8 Group, Sviatoslav Pohrebnoi, said.
"Our deal with Massive Black is a part of our M&A growth strategy, which we are keen to continue."
This comes in the wake of Room 8 expanding into Montreal back in 2021, before setting up studios in Spain, Romania, Poland and Serbia earlier this year. The company has worked on projects including What Remains of Edith Finch, Abzu and The Last Campfire.
Massive Black, meanwhile, has contributed art work to the likes of CCP's Sparc, The Elder Scrolls: Legends and both Fallout 3 and New Vegas.
